Eco-Friendly Seating
Seat cushions in the 2009 Focus use a bio-based polyurethane foam derived from
the oils of various plant seeds. The color of the upholstery is either Medium
Stone or Charcoal Black, but the color of what lies beneath is eco-friendly
Green.

2.0l Duratec Engine
The 2.0L Duratec 20 I-4 is engineered with dual overhead cams activating four
valves per cylinder. For all its responsiveness, the Duratec 20 can go a long
way with its EPA-estimated 35 Hwy rating.* There's also the Duratec 20E offered
in states that adopt California emissions standards, qualifying Focus as a
Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle (PZEV). With both Duratec 2.0L versions, a
5-speed manual transmission is standard, with a 4-speed automatic available as
an option.
