COMFORT
6 or 7 Passenger Seating
Every Flex comes with 1st-row bucket seats, 2nd-row 60/40 split bench seat and
3rd-row 50/50 split bench seat for 7-passenger seating. Or go with a 6-passenger
arrangement by choosing the optional 2nd-row 40/40 bucket seats, which offer an
available center console with storage. What's most amazing about the Flex isn't
the number of passengers it can accommodate, but the amazing amount of seating
room and sense of open space it provides.
Fold Flat Seat Backs
In a Flex, all the seat backs (except the driver's, of course) fold flat to make
it easier to accommodate whatever cargo you need to carry. So, if you really
want to transport a lot of things, fold down the 2nd- and 3rd-row seats plus the
front passenger seat back. Those extra-long items you couldn't move before - not
a problem now.
Multi-Panel Vista Roof Option
If you're the kind of person who just can't get enough natural light, the
multipanel Vista Roof™ option will definitely be on your list of must-have
features. The Vista Roof™ consists of four skylights covering all three rows of
occupants. A power moonroof sits over the 1st row. The 2nd row has two openings.
And a larger single skylight is over the 3rd row.
Refrigerated Console Option
If you go with the available 2nd-row 40/40 bucket seats, you can also get the
optional rear console refrigeration. Unlike systems that just keep beverages
cool, the compressor-driven unit in Flex can chill up to seven 12-oz. cans, four
half-liter bottles or two 20-oz. bottles down to 41°F. There's also a freeze
mode that'll go down to 23°F.
Storage Places
Flex provides a lot of places to put your things. A 1st-row console with
storage. Integrated 1st- and 2nd-row door storage pockets. Map pockets behind
the 1st-row seats. A large, lockable glove box. Ten cup and bottle holders as
well. What's more, the optional 2nd-row 40/40 bucket seats offer an available
center console with storage bin. Look around the inside of a Flex - yes, Ford
designers pretty much thought of everything.
Road Noise Buster
Our engineers put Flex through extensive, wind tunnel testing – with wind speeds
of up to 100 mph – to help pinpoint and silence even the smallest sources of
noise. Add to that a new inset design for the front and rear side doors to help
reduce interior noise, and advanced sound-deadening materials to insulate the
vehicle. The result? One quiet ride.
Flex Handling
Flex quickens your heart rate, but handles with cool. Its independent rear
suspension soaks up bumps and potholes, while the advanced V6 and six-speed
automatic transmission deliver responsive acceleration and enhanced fuel
economy.
No Need for Step Bars
The low body profile has the design effect of a customized vehicle. But Ford
designers had more in mind than style. Your experience of comfort begins when
you're getting in and ends when you're getting out. Take note of the integrated
rocker panel. You don't see step bars, right? That's because you don't need them
for stepping up or down. Three rows of comfortable Flex seating await you and
your passengers. So slide right in. And enjoy the ride.
