Voice Activated Ford SYNC
Ford SYNC® is an integrated, voice-activated communication and media system.
SYNC allows you to access your music collection by genre, album, artist or song
title and operate your Bluetooth®-enabled phone with simple voice commands. With
SYNC, you can even make music selections through your flash drive by voice
command.* SYNC is optional on Taurus SEL and standard on the Eddied Bauer

All Wheel Drive
Taurus X comes with standard Front-Wheel Drive (FWD). Or go with the available
All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system that automatically distributes up to 100% of torque
to the wheels with the most traction when conditions such as rain, mud, gravel,
snow and ice require it. Both FWD and AWD are equipped with Traction Control
that limits wheel spin to improve your grip on the road.
AdvanceTrac Electronic Stability Control
Whether your Taurus X is Front-Wheel Drive or All-Wheel Drive, the anxiety you'd
ordinarily feel when driving on slippery surfaces will be greatly reduced with
the knowledge that the standard AdvanceTrac® Electronic Stability Control System
is constantly at work monitoring road conditions and automatically responding to
them.
3.5L V6 with 6 Speed Automatic
The 3.5L Duratec V6 under the hood of the Taurus X features dual overhead cams
activating four valves per cylinder with advanced intake variable cam timing
technology. Power ratings are 263 horsepower and 249 lb.-ft. of torque. This
advanced V6 is mated to an equally advanced 6-speed automatic transmission with
a wide span of gear ratios across the six speeds, providing responsive
acceleration at the low end and enhanced fuel economy at the overdrive 6th
gear.* With Taurus X's 19-gal. fuel tank, you can travel a long distance before
having to fuel up.
