AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control
Every Ford E-Series wagon now comes equipped with standard AdvanceTrac® with
Roll Stability Control™ (RSC®). It's the only stability control system with
gyroscopic sensors measuring both vehicle roll and turning rates. Corner too
quickly or swerve to avoid an object - and RSC® applies brake pressure and
reduces engine power to help keep you under control. Remember that even advanced
technology cannot overcome the laws of physics. It's always possible to lose
control of a vehicle due to inappropriate driver input for the conditions.
*RSC is optional on E-Series Vans with gas engines (excluding limited-slip rear
axle)
6.8L Triton V10 with TorqShift
E-350 models now offer an optional 6.8L multi-valve Triton® V10 with TorqShift®
5-speed automatic transmission. The long-lasting, durable and proven TorqShift®
is designed to handle the high-torque performance of big-bore engines like the
6.8L Triton. Ideal for towing the big Class III/IV trailers, TorqShift® includes
a selectable Tow/Haul Mode that compensates for altitude, grade and load
conditions.
Reverse Sensing System
The Reverse Sensing System uses an audible signal to alert you to an obstacle up
to 6 ft. from the rear when slowly backing up. It's available on all E-Series
models.
Rear Back-up Camera System
Get a clear picture of what's behind you with the new Rear Back-up Camera System
option available on all E-Series models. When the camera (mounted on the rear
license plate bracket) is activated, it transmits the image to the auto-dimming
rearview mirror (included with the system) or to the center console display
(shown) that's part of the optional Premium Combination Audio/Navigation System
with 6-Disc CD Changer and Satellite Radio Capability.
New Integrated Trailer Brake Controller
The new Integrated Trailer Brake Controller (TBC), available on all E-Series
models, works in conjunction with the Anti-Lock Brake System and synchronizes
the vehicle and trailer brakes for seamless braking while towing even the
heaviest of loads. It's factory-installed, so there are no extra holes in the
dash, no clumsy boxes at your knees, and no aftermarket worries. TBC requires
either the available Class I or Class II/III/IV Trailer Towing Package.
